How
does the rest of the planet survive? San Francisco climatological
snobbery at work here. A single day of 87 degrees. The garden likes it.
I don’t.
The heat made for a sweaty day of furniture moving and cleaning. All praise to St. Jerome,
who seems to have removed a shelving thorn
from the process. A final recalculation of shelf units suggested that
we might actually have sufficient footage for the library. If so,
and I won’t belive it until the books are out of the boxes, we may just
have the prettiest school library in the Bay area.
This weekend’s UCB China conference is just one part of a series of sessions
put on by the School of Journalism this week, featuring among others
Howard Rheingold, Markos Zuniga, Dan Gillmor, and Larry Lessig. Move
